← How the Many-to-Many System was Developed?

Test 2: Process

We wanted to test whether systems could be collaboratively built with people and organisations who will use them, enabling their design and efficacy

What we tested

  • Curated the group; set the wide and narrow-boundary mission; set the legal architecture
  • Facilitated the group to shape intentions for: principles, ecosystem strategy; governing, learning and organising systems.
  • Led design of the full infrastructure based on the group’s brief. Group reviewed, adapted and signed off designs using Loomio
  • Systems were built and collaborators partly onboarded. Included a shared information portal(s).

What we didn’t test

  • Collaborative setting of underpinning philosophies to guide deep codes; collaborative risk mapping or legal form consideration; collaborative mission-sitting
  • Full prototyping of every process step (e.g. rushed through relationship-building and collective sensemaking due to time constraints).
  • Group orchestration after contract signing and kick-off (only partly held after this point)
